OnePlus Nord Watch Specifications Unveiled Ahead of India Launch

The OnePlus Nord Watch will shortly be unveiled by OnePlus in India. The Chinese electronics manufacturer has disclosed some of the main characteristics of the future smartwatch in advance of the launch.

A week ago, OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus Nord smartwatch will be the company’s latest offering. Since then, the company has been gradually revealing details in an effort to keep the buzz around its forthcoming product alive.

The company has revealed that the most recent upgrade to the Nord smartwatch will have around 105 Sports modes. To help the user maintain their lifestyle, it will not only have the necessary modes, such as indoor and outdoor walking and running but also sports modes, such as cricket, yoga, etc.

The 1.78-inch AMOLED screen of the OnePlus Nord smartwatch has a 500 Nits peak brightness and a high resolution of 368448. The display will have a refresh rate of 60Hz. Additionally, the Nord Watch will offer more than 100 online changeable Watch Faces. Although the brand has not yet provided details regarding the watch’s launch date, it is anticipated to do so shortly.

The watch could debut around the end of September or the beginning of October if the current claims are to be believed. The Nord Watch, according to OnePlus, seeks to “make the hallmark OnePlus technology available to a broader set of the audience” and will “bolster OnePlus Nord’s position inside the wearables category.”

The Nord Watch has gained popularity online. It is anticipated that the next Nord-series smartwatch would feature Bluetooth 5.2 and the customizable N-Health app. Both iOS and Android devices should work with the smartwatch. It would have a side-mounted navigation button and a rectangular dial.

The wristwatch, which costs Rs. 13,499, includes over 110 fitness programs, an integrated GPS, speaker, and mic for calls. It is water and dust-resistant and has an IP68 rating. It appears like OnePlus is also developing the N Health app, a new companion software for the Nord Watch that will run on both iOS and Android. According to rumors, the smartwatch would come in two colors—blue and black—and have a battery life of up to ten days.

Ethereum gets greener after completing The Merge

According to a report by Ethereum Foundation, the much-anticipated overhaul which is known as “The Merge”, will decrease the energy consumption of Ethereum by almost 99.95%. This foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to providing support for cryptocurrency and its related technologies.

“The Merge refers to the original Ethereum Mainnet merging with a separate … blockchain called the Beacon Chain,” the organization stated.
“Happy merge all,” Vitalik Buterin, the 28-year-old Russian-Canadian programmer who helped create Ethereum said on Twitter. “This is a big moment for the Ethereum ecosystem. Everyone who helped make the merge happen should feel very proud today,” he added.
“It’s been a long time in the making and the question on traders’ lips right now is will it be the next bullish catalyst for cryptos or a “sell the fact” event,” a senior market analyst at Oanda, Craig Erlam, wrote in a note on Thursday.
Ethereum expects with this switch, that it “will improve security, reduce energy consumption, increase the number of users on the network, and grow its market cap,” Marion Laboure, Deutsche Bank research analyst wrote in a note this week.

The co-founder, Vitalik Buterin, also claims that this upgrade will decrease global electricity consumption by 0.2%.

An intriguing new feature phone from HMD Global, the maker of Nokia phones, has been unveiled in India. The recent global release of the all-new Nokia 5710 XpressAudio, which continues the XpressMusic legacy, includes a built-in set of wireless earbuds.

The new feature phone, which costs Rs 4,999, is currently being offered on the official company website and will be stocked in all online and physical stores starting September 19th, 2022.

The new Nokia phone resembles the 2007-Nokia 5310 XpressMusic in appearance and includes separate audio control buttons. This feature phone also has 4G capability. The only difference between the new Nokia 5710 XpressAudio and other feature phones is that the top of the device contains a set of wireless earbuds.

This serves as the charging dock for the slider-activated Nokia earbuds. The convenient detachable wireless earphones are kept beneath a strong and stylish slider on the phone’s rear when not in use and can also be used with other smartphones. One can easily swap to the loudspeakers if one wishes to enjoy music with pals.

There are buttons specifically for playing music, an MP3 player with hundreds of tracks to store, and compatibility for wireless FM service. The feature phone has environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for calls and 4G VoLTE capability. The phone has a detachable 1,450mAh battery powering with a standby time of up to 31 days. The 2.4-inch QVGA display of the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio comes with Numerical and Function keys.

The new handset comes with a Unisoc T107 processor along with 128MB of storage and 4MB of RAM. A memory card can increase the storage capacity by up to 32GB. The phone runs on S30+ Operating System and supports various classic games like Tetris, Snake, DOODLE JUMP, etc. The feature phone is 129.1g in weight. The feature phone also has a Micro-USB port and Bluetooth version 5.0.

It has a flash-equipped, 0.3MP rear camera. The new phone will be available in black/red and white/red color combinations. There is a one-year warranty included with the Nokia 5710 Xpress Audio.

To make it easier to hold, the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio handset has a rounded shape. The company claims that the phone has undergone extensive testing to make sure it satisfies the strict longevity standards so it may continue to function and look fantastic for a long time.

In an effort to compete with rivals like Microsoft’s Teams Zoom Video Communications Inc. announced on Monday that it has rebranded its chat platform and added additional functions, including third-party connectivity. To make teamwork more convenient, the updated program combines chat, third-party integrations, file sharing, video, voice, and a whiteboard in one location, according to a blog post by Zoom.

According to experts, Zoom has added “Team” to its chat product since consumers were confused about how the chat component in Zoom meetings differed from the premium communication tool. Users of WhatsApp On iOS May Soon Be Able To Search Messages By Date.

Users can swiftly go to a particular date to read messages from that time. This feature will be useful when the users want to find out which messages were sent on a specific date.

The instant messaging app Meta-owned WhatsApp is always working on different technologies to enhance the user experience by developing and integrating new features like the ability to react to a particular message using emojis, the feature to mute specific people on voice calls, and much more.

According to a report by WaBetaInfo, it is still working to make it possible for users to search messages by date. The feature was initially found in 2020 by WaBetaInfo. However, at that time they did not make it available to the public after discarding the development. WhatsApp is planning to put this feature again after the test flight update is received for the WhatsApp beta (iOS 22.0.19.73).

“After releasing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.0.19.73 update from TestFlight, we discovered that WhatsApp is finally planning to release the feature in the future again,” the report stated.

How will the WhatsApp “search by date” feature work?

While developers are still working on this feature, however, when it would be completed, WhatsApp users will see a new calendar icon on the left side of the screen when tap on the search button to search for a message in the chat. Users can quickly get to a particular date and read all the messages from that specific date with the help of a calendar icon.

By clicking on the calendar icon, they can set the date according to their needs and see the chats. Also, they can get rid of the date view by just scrolling through the chat. This feature will help out in extracting messages or media from a certain date. Currently, since it is not available to the public because it is incomplete, users can search for messages only using keywords. This is your old search feature.

The search feature enables WhatsApp users to search for chats using a keyword. Here are the steps involved:

Open your WhatsApp application.
Tap on the burger menu in the top right corner of your screen.
You will see the Search option showing up among others, click on it.
Enter the keyword of your chat you want to search and you’ll get your messages with that keyword to appear on the screen.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is also working on developing a new feature that would let the user send the message to himself while using the desktop version and also, the survey feature. In this WhatsApp survey feature, users can fill out various surveys about the latest products, innovative services, app reviews, and much more after receiving an invitation. It will bring a verified chat to send invitations for surveys.

It is not decided yet when these features will be available to the public, but soon users will be able to test these in the beta version of WhatsApp.

Hangouts Is Shutting Down Soon, Download Your Old Chats Now: How It Works

The Tech Giant and American browser Google has declared that it will be shutting down its hangouts Platform. The company will upgrade it and replace it with Google Chat as its default application. Users are getting mail from google to download their old chats because all the data will be wiped out if not done. Many Hangout users have already shifted to Google Chats. Just in case you have not, you should download your data before it gets inaccessible.

It is informed that Hangout on the web will be switched from Google Chats as of November 1, 2022.

Google is asking the users who want to back up their Hangout chats to make use of Google takeout and download their data like chats, media, etc. before 1st January 2023. All the Hangouts Data will be deleted by then. It assures the users that Hangouts on the Web and their conversations will be available till 1st November 2022.

Go to Google Takeout Application and Sign in with your Hangouts Google Account.
Select Hangouts and unselect the rest options in the available applications.
Tap on “Next Step”
Choose how often you want to download the backup in the delivery method. It is recommended to select a one-time download since Hangouts is being replaced by Google chats soon.
Select the File type.
Tap on “Export”
There will be a message on your screen, telling you Google is creating a copy of files from Hangouts and you will get an email when the takeout process is complete. Download the file in order to save your Hangouts Data.

For the people who have already migrated from Google Hangouts to Google Chats, the conversations are automatically migrated. So, users can seamlessly pick up from where they left off. They can search for their old messages or media in the new Chats App As well.

What Happens to Deleted Data?

Google states that if the user deletes any of their chats or other data from Hangouts then the data will be deleted from the chat also.

What if the User Doesn’t use Google Chat?

Many Users have switched from Hangouts to Google chats but there are also those people who do not want to. Those people who don’t like the idea of using Google Chats are being advised to stop using the platform entirely. Furthermore, they can delete their chats or their Google account on Hangouts itself. Google is also giving warnings to those who want to delete their account that the deletion will lead to the removal of all the content belonging to the user including their files, photos, emails, and other data.
