Kindle Paperwhite

Amazon Releases New Kindle Paperwhite (Waterproof), Paperwhite Signature Edition in India.

The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite has a 6.8-inch display and charges via USB Type-C, which was unveiled on Tuesday. There are two versions of the new KindlePaperwhite (also known as the KindlePaperwhite 11th Gen): the standard Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. The latter has a 32GB hard drive and an automatically adjusting light sensor. On top of the new KindlePaperwhite, Amazon is holding a hardware event on September 28 when it is likely to showcase additional Echo devices and services.

Kindle Paperwhite: Specifications

The new KindlePaperwhite has a 6.8-inch glare-free display, which is 0.8 inches larger than the current KindlePaperwhite 6-inch screen. In addition, the display has thinner 10mm bezels and a flush-front design. The new KindlePaperwhite has the same 300ppi resolution as the previous model, therefore the pixel density remains unchanged. In any case, Amazon states that it has increased the brightness by 10% at the highest level in order to deliver a more comfortable experience. In addition, the warm light and white-on-black modes may be adjusted so that users can read books at any time of day or night according to their preferences.
Unlike the new normal Kindle Paperwhite, the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition has an auto-adjusting front light that automatically adjusts the display brightness based on ambient illumination.
The kindle paperwhite Signature Edition has 32GB of built-in storage. While the new normal KindlePaperwhite only offers 4GB of capacity, the older Kindle Voyage has 8GB of storage.
Both the new Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition claim to have the longest battery life of any Kindle, lasting up to 10 weeks. With the USB Type-C port for quick charging, users can get 2.5 hours of battery life out of their e-readers when using a 10W adapter. In addition, wireless charging is supported on the KindlePaperwhite Signature Edition.

The new KindlePaperwhite models ship with a modified version of Amazon’s Kindle software, which may be downloaded separately. You can effortlessly flip between the home screen, the library, and the book you’re now reading. A revamped library experience with new filters, sort options, a new collections view, and an interactive scroll bar is also part of the redesigned UI.
The new KindlePaperwhite versions have been touted as having 20% faster page turns and an overall smoother user experience due to the updated interface and hardware.
Both the new Kindle Paperwhite and the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition use 60 percent post-consumer recycled polymers and 70 percent recycled die-cast magnesium in their construction. Almost all of their packaging is manufactured from wood fiber-based materials as well. Additionally, the new KindlePaperwhite has an IPX8 designation, making it water and dust-resistant.

Amazon Event to be held on September 28

The next Amazon hardware event will take place on September 28 at 9:30 IST. Although Amazon has not announced all of the facts regarding the next virtual event, the invitation provided to Gadgets 360 confirms that the news about the latest Amazon gadgets, features, and services will be featured. The invitation also states “a mix of virtual and on-ground events, live from Seattle.”
The About Amazon website has also hinted at an upcoming hardware event. However, because it’s an invite-only event, we don’t expect Amazon to broadcast it openly.
Amazon announced its new Echo (4th Gen), Echo Dot (4th Gen), Echo Dot (4th Gen) With Clock, and Echo Show 10 devices at last year’s hardware event. A new game streaming service, Luna, was also revealed, as was an update to the Ring security product line, which now includes an indoor drone and a car alarm. Next week’s event could bring us new features and improvements for all of those goods and services.
