The new Motorola Edge 30 is the latest addition to Motorola’s ‘Edge’ smartphone series. On Thursday, May 12, it was released in India. The new smartphone arrives just weeks after the release of the Moto G52 and the low-cost Moto G22. The Motorola Edge 20 was released last year as a cut-out version of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro. The Motorola Edge 30 is part of the latest mid-range company, which includes phones from OnePlus, Xiaomi, Samsung Realme, and others. The Motorola Edge 30 will compete with the Samsung M53, Vivo T1 Pro 5G, IQOO z6, and many other devices with comparable specifications. Specifications and Features

The Motorola Edge 30 is being marketed as the thinnest phone available. Aside from its slim design, the Motorola Edge 30 has a slew of capabilities, including the India-first Snapdragon 778+ 5G, an OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, 50-megapixel quad technology, and a 4020mAh battery with 33W rapid charging capability.

The rear of the Motorola Edge 30 Pro is comprised of acrylic glass or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). It has a silky matte finish. The sides are composed of plastic, and the front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. According to Motorola, the Edge 30 is water-resistant (IP52).

The phone is only 6.79mm thick and weighs 155g, making it one of, if not the, slimmest on the market at the time of writing.

The Edge 30 has the same 6.5-inch pOLED display as the Moto G52. The pOLED is supposed to provide an OLED-like viewing experience while being thinner than existing OLED screens. In addition, the display offers a Full-HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), HDR10+ compatibility, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with macro vision, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor in its back camera module. The two 50-megapixel sensors can capture 4K films at 30 frames per second, while the front-facing 32-megapixel camera can likewise record 4K videos.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus processor is combined with up to 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage. This cannot be expanded. Motorola’s custom My UX chops are on top of Android 12. Motorola has stated that the phone would receive two major OS updates (Android 13 and 14) as well as up to three years of security fixes.

The Moto Edge 30 is priced at Rs 27,999 for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For Rs 29,999, you can get it with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It will be accessible on Flipkart, Reliance Digital, and prominent retail outlets beginning May 19 (12pm).

The 11th-generation Intel Core i5-11300H processor variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage is priced at CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs 92,100) for the Mi Notebook Pro X 15. At CNY 9,999, there is also a high-end Intel Core i7-11370H processor, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD storage (about Rs. 1,15,100). Both variants are currently available for pre-order in China, and shipments will begin on July 9. However, the Mi Notebook Pro X 15’s global availability and pricing have yet to be announced. The Mi Notebook Pro X 15 runs Windows 10 Home and has a 15.6-inch 3.5K (3,456×2,160 pixel) Samsung E4 OLED display with 261ppi pixel density, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a 100 percent sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut. The display is also DC dimmable and has a peak brightness of 600 nits. In addition, the laptop has a thin profile, making it portable enough to be used as an ultrabook. The Mi Notebook Pro X 15 has Bluetooth v.5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a USB Type-C port, Thunderbolt 4, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an HDMI 2.1 port. A fingerprint sensor is also embedded within the power key, allowing for one-key boot and unlock functionality. The Mi Notebook Pro X 15 features four DTS-enabled speaker units. A 2×2 microphone array is also included, as is a built-in 720p webcam for video conferencing.

On the Mi Notebook Pro X 15, Xiaomi has included an 80Whr battery that is rated to provide up to 11.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. The laptop is also equipped with a 130W USB Type-C power adapter, which is capable of charging half of the Mi Notebook Pro X 15’s battery in 25 minutes.
